Stump Grinding
The core job: the stump ground 6–12" below grade so you can sod, seed or plant right over it.
Our grinder chews the stump down past the soil line — deep enough that nothing regrows and you can put grass, mulch or a new tree in its place. Most residential stumps are done in under an hour, and we set plywood and mats to protect your lawn and walkways on the way in.
Grinding beats digging or pulling in almost every residential yard: no crater, no torn-up lawn from an excavator, no chemical stump killer sitting in your soil for a season. The machine turns the stump into chips right where it stands, and the spot is ready for seed the same day.
What's included
- Utility locate before any teeth touch the ground
- Grind to 6–12" below grade — deeper on request
- Chips raked back and leveled

When to call us
The tree is already down
A tree crew dropped the tree and left the stump — the usual handoff. We grind what they left, usually within the week.
You mow around it every week
A stump in the middle of the lawn is a mower obstacle, a trip hazard and a carpenter-ant hotel. One visit ends all three.
You are re-landscaping
New beds, new sod, a level yard — the stump has to go first, and grinding leaves the grade ready to work.
It is starting to rot
Old stumps pull in ants, termites and fungus. Grinding removes the food source before it spreads to the house side of the yard.
